President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed received, on Friday at Carthage Palace, Argentine Minister of Foreign Relations, International Trade and Worship, Felipe Carlos Solá.
The Head of State called for “developing South-South cooperation according to innovative and effective visions to address the various aspects of disparities between the North and the South that have widened with the spread of COVID-19.
President Saied welcomed the solidity of the friendly relations between the two countries, underlining the determination to develop and diversify them further at both bilateral and multilateral levels, in light of the many opportunities offered in various fields, says a press release of the Presidency of the Republic.
For his part, the Argentine minister expressed his country’s willingness to intensify economic and cultural cooperation as well as trade exchanges, announcing a forthcoming visit of a delegation of Argentinian businessmen to Tunisia to boost bilateral cooperation.
He added that “the future should be more equitable towards Third World countries that are fighting to obtain vaccines against Covid-19, more equitable towards countries that are suffering from high debt and economic recession because of the pandemic and more equitable towards the nascent Tunisian democracy so that it can resist at all levels.
