President Kais Saied Visits Higher Council of Education and Teaching Headquarters

Tunis: President Kais Saied visited on Monday the headquarters of the Higher Council of Education and Teaching in Tunis to attend its inaugural session, emphasizing the Council's vital role in improving and reforming the education system. On this occasion, he was briefed on the Council's operating procedures.

According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, the Council was set up following the completion of procedures related to its composition and the publication of a presidential decree on August 12, 2026, in the Official Gazette of Tunisia (JORT), appointing its members. The Higher Council of Education and Teaching is tasked with assessing and reforming key issues related to education, teaching, scientific research, and vocational training.

During his visit, the President of the Republic also toured the La Fayette district in Tunis, where he engaged with several citizens, listened to their concerns, and reaffirmed his commitment to monitoring the situation of citizens and being attentive to their expectations.
