Tunis: President Kais Saied reviewed the security operations carried out in Greater Tunis, during the meeting held on Monday afternoon at the Carthage Palace, with Minister of the Interior, Khaled Nouri and Secretary of State for National Security, Sofiene Ben Sadok. These operations resulted in the arrest of several individuals wanted under outstanding warrants for offences against public order, particularly drug trafficking.

According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, the discussions also covered operations conducted by security forces in several regions of the republic to dismantle networks involved in speculation and hoarding, which deliberately raised prices in an attempt to harm both producers and consumers alike.

The President of the Republic affirmed that this approach represents a firm state policy that will continue without hesitation until this criminal and unjustified rise in prices is completely eliminated.
