President Kais Saied, stressed Monday at a meeting at the palace of Carthage with leaders of national organizations, his concern to respect the rights and freedoms and the deadlines for implementation of exceptional measures and announce the formation of a new government in the coming days.

According to a statement to TAP Radhia Jeribi, president of the National Union of Tunisian Women (UNFT), the leaders of national organizations have expressed their position affirming the imperative to respect the rights and freedoms and find a solution to get out of this crisis.

Jeribi said that Saied stressed that taking these measures was imposed by the dangerous situation in the country on different levels.

According to Jeribi, the President of the Republic has affirmed his consultation with the organisations in order to ensure the continuity of work in the state institutions.

The President of the Republic has taken a series of measures in accordance with Article 80 of the Constitution including the lifting of parliamentary immunity of members and the dismissal of the head of government Hichem Mechichi.
