Monastir: President Kais Saied visited on Monday morning Monastir governorate to chair the commemoration ceremony marking the 26th anniversary of the death of leader Habib Bourguiba, the first President of the Tunisian Republic. Upon his arrival at the Bourguiba Mausoleum, the President of the Republic paid tribute to the flag to the tune of the national anthem and reviewed a formation from the three armed forces, which rendered him honours. He then laid a wreath at the tomb of leader Habib Bourguiba and recited Al-Fatiha in memory of his soul. According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, the Head of State also met with a group of resistance fighters and activists and listened to their concerns.
