President Kais Saied met with Justice Minister Saida Jaffel and Interior Minister Taoufik Charfeddine, Thursday at Carthage Palace.

The meeting tackled the functioning of the judicial services and the role of “honest judges,” says a Presidency statement.

The general situation in the country and the need to combat “those who try to undermine the state and provoke crises” were also raised during the meeting.

Saied insisted that social peace depends on a fair justice system that guarantees the equality of all before the law.
