President Saïed receives Italian ambassador to Tunisia

(TAP) – President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed received, on Friday, at Carthage Palace, Italian Ambassador Lorenzo Fanara, who came to take leave at the end of his mission to Tunisia.

 

The Italian diplomat took the opportunity to express his gratitude for the support he received throughout his mission in Tunisia, the Presidency of the Republic said.

 

For his part, the Head of State commended the solidity of the historical friendship ties between Tunisia and Italy, praising the privileged level reached by the cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields.

 

He underscored Tunisia’s determination to boost bilateral relations for the benefit of both the Tunisian and Italian peoples.

 

The Italian ambassador had taken office in March 2018.
