TUNIS: President Kais Saied has reopened the Belvedere municipal swimming pool following a comprehensive renovation and repair initiative. The project was part of a broader effort that included the redevelopment of Pasteur Square in downtown Tunis, as announced by the Presidency of the Republic. According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, the renovations were supervised by military engineering and aimed to restore the facility to its original specifications. President Saied, during his visit to the swimming pool, inspected various components, including the electronic entry gate, dressing rooms, control unit, nursing station, and the pool's heating and filtering systems. This visit follows a directive he issued during a previous visit to the facility on February 15. In his remarks, President Saied emphasized the dual objectives of building and construction while preserving Tunisia's historical heritage. He urged collective support for such projects, highlighting their importance in maintaining the nation's cul tural history. Following the reopening of the swimming pool, President Saied also visited Pasteur Square. The square underwent maintenance and renovation, which included enhancements to the garden, water fountains, and the bus station. The redevelopment of Pasteur Square was also part of Saied's directives from his visit earlier this year.
