President Kais Saied has granted a presidential pardon to 2,288 inmates, leading to the release of 1,573 prisoners in commemoration of the 63rd anniversary of Evacuation Day.

According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, the President also ordered conditional release for an additional 424 prisoners, as stated in a press release from the Presidency of the Republic issued on Tuesday.
