Print media’s debt to CNSS rescheduled

A working session was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Social Affairs to follow up the agreement on the rescheduling of the debt print press institutions to the National Social Security Fund.

The agreement, signed on Monday, provides rescheduling of debts of contributions until the second quarter of 2017 over a period of 5 years and without up-front fees.

In addition, the institutions concerned will benefit from a grace period that will end on the date of publication of the Government Decree on the criteria and procedures for granting the benefits set out in the Budget Act of 2017. Late penalties shall be examined by a special committee, after recovery of all the debts.

According to the agreement, the print media institutions will undertake to file an income tax return from the third quarter of 2017 onwards and, in the meantime, to pay the wage contributions within the statutory time- until the publication of the Government Decree.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Directorate General of Social Security, CNSS, the Tunisian Federation of Newspaper Managers and the General Media Union.
