Protests should not hinder development process (Youssef Chahed)

Prime Minister Youssef Chahed said on Tuesday that the State is open to dialogue with the various parties, insisting in this regard on the importance of the peaceful nature of protest movements, which, according to him, should in no way hinder the development process.

In a plenary session of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) dedicated to the Government’s Declaration on the draft 2018 State Budget and Finance Law, Chahed reviewed some indicators showing development in spite of the difficulties recorded at the social level.

He pointed out in this regard, an improvement of 23% of phosphate production, compared with the same period last year, in addition to the increase of exports with a rate of 18% in comparison with the same period of 2016.

Chahed recalled that the achievement of development is inherent to the enhancement of work and return to production as a development locomotive.
