Quebec attack: PM recommends to provide all necessary assistance to Tunisian victims

Prime Minister Youssef Chahed had a telephone talk with the widow of Boubaker Thabti, who died in the terrorist attack on Sunday, in an Islamic cultural centre in Quebec City in southeastern Canada.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister expressed his sincere condolences to the widow of the deceased, Information Adviser Mofdi Mseddi to the Prime Ministry told TAP.

Besides, the Prime Minister also spoke on the phone with the Tunisian ambassador in Ottawa to inquire about the health state of the Tunisian wounded in this attack, recommending to provide all the “assistance needed to the family of the late Boubaker Thabti and members of the Tunisian community injured in the attack.

Two armed and hooded men burst Sunday night into the Islamic Cultural Centre in Quebec City and opened fire on dozens of faithful while they were performing Al-IchaA’s prayer.

Earlier in the day, Tunisia had condemned this cowardly terrorist attack, while expressing solidarity with the Canadian authorities and the families of the victims, in this painful ordeal, wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded.
