Religious Affairs Ministry to address last pilgrimage season’s shortcomings

Religious Affairs Minister Ahmed Adhoum, on Friday, said his ministry is currently working on the implementation of an action plan to bridge the gaps recorded during the previous pilgrimage season.

The national pilgrimage and Umra committee had initiated the necessary preparations for the smooth running of the new pilgrimage season, he said during a visit he paid to Monastir.

A Tunisian delegation will visit Saudi Arabia next week to review with Saudi Minister of Haj and Umra Mohammad Saleh bin Taher Benten a set of relevant issues.

The Religious Affairs Ministry has taken fresh steps, particularly safety ones to prevent repeating last season’s mistakes, he indicated.
