Revenues from Tunisia’s exports of dates up 22. 2% (ministry)

Revenues from Tunisia’s exports of dates in 2017/2018 increased 22.2% (402.401 MTD), according to data made available Monday by the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries.

The export volume likewise was up 7.52%, standing at 66,116 tonnes.

This is the result of quantities exported to Australia, Qatar, India and Canada climbing 60%, 47.4%, 45% and 30% respectively. Exports to traditional markets, namely Morocco, Italy, Indonesia and France, kept the same pace.

Since the start of the season (October 1, 2017) up to March 15, 2018, the volume of exports of organic dates edged up 19.42% to 5,099. 1 tonnes, against 4,270 tonnes in the previous season.
