AGONA EAST: Reverend Nana Yaw Dokyi, the Founder and Leader of the Millennium True Messiah International Prayer Camp in Adawukwa, has been officially elevated to the position of apostle. The induction ceremony was presided over by Bishop Dr. Albert Ken Dapatem of the Dominion College of Bishops and took place in the presence of other distinguished clergy members. According to Ghana News Agency, Apostle Dokyi was supported during his induction by Bishop Peter Koomson, an ordained bishop of the Champion Ways Ministry International and a senior executive of the Dominion College of Bishops. The Millennium True Messiah International Prayer Camp, founded eight years ago by Apostle Dokyi, now boasts over 200 members and focuses on liberating people from conditions that impede their life progress. In his remarks post-induction, Apostle Dokyi emphasized the responsibility of church leaders to preach the gospel truthfully and guide their congregations towards salvation. He stressed the importance of accountability in their divine duties and urged Christians to adhere strictly to Biblical teachings to escape the "bondage of the devil." Highlighting environmental concerns, Apostle Dokyi strongly criticized small-scale illegal mining, commonly known as 'galamsey,' describing it as a curse-inducing activity due to its destructive impact on natural resources. "Water is life, and it is God's creation to preserve the lives of humans. We must stop activities that destroy God's creations like trees and mammals, which ultimately bring curses upon us," he explained. Looking ahead to the December 7, 2024, elections, Apostle Dokyi called for peace and unity among citizens, reminding them that politics should be a pathway to opportunities and development, not conflict. "We are one people," he concluded, advocating for a harmonious electoral process.
