The situation of road safety in Morocco “requires enhancing all measures taken and the development of a more efficient strategy, in order to achieve the objectives that were set out,” said the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, Government Spokesman, Mustapha Baitas, at a press briefing after the Government Council.
The Minister added that Abdeljalil had highlighted, in a presentation, the steps taken in the area of road safety since 2005, when HM King Mohammed VI chaired the Ministerial Committee on Road Safety, establishing a new governance in the management of this sector.
Baitas noted that the Minister of Transport recalled, in this regard, the results of the programs arising from the various national strategies of road safety, which have allowed to mark a break with the upward trend of traffic accident victims in Morocco.
