Romania’s Teodor Viorel Mele?canu in Tunisia, April 19-20

Romania’s Foreign Affairs Minister Teodor Viorel Mele?canu will pay a two-day working visit to Tunisia (April 19-20) at the invitation of FM Khemaies Jhinaoui.

This visit will step up consultation and co-operation between Tunisia and Romania, mainly after Jhinaoui’s 2016 visit in Budapest, the Foreign Ministry said Tuesday in a press release.

A working session is set to be held between both ministries during this visit and will be devoted to assess the bilateral co-operation and means to further strengthen fields of mutual interest.

The session will also help review means to boost Tunisian-Romanian partnership and the support that can be provided by Romania in this field.

The meeting will further provide an opportunity to review several regional and international issues, the same source indicated.

Both ministers will thereafter ink several agreements and memoranda of understanding so as to promote the legal framework governing relations between both countries.

The Romanian minister will also have a set of meetings with Tunisian senior officials.
