Saïed-Bouden meeting focuses on upcoming legislative elections

President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed received on Monday at Carthage Palace, Prime Minister Najla Bouden.

 

The Head of State stressed the need to prepare for the legislative elections of December 17, inviting the Tunisian people to express their will in all freedom, reads a statement of the Presidency of the Republic.

 

In this context, Saïed recalled that the decree-law amending the electoral law provides for criminal prosecution against any “corrupt” person, calling for vigilance against “attempts to monetise votes”.

 

On the agenda of the meeting were government action, the supply of food products to the markets and the establishment of the “Fidaa” Foundation.
