President Kais Saied decided Monday to dismiss Director of the National Radio Chokri Cheniti and annul all appointments he had made, according to a Presidency of the Republic short press release issued on Monday evening. Cheniti, a public services advisor, was entrusted with the provisional management of the Tunisian Radio by virtue of a presidential decree published on September 29 in the Official Gazette of the Tunisian Republic (JORT).

Chokri Cheniti had issued earlier on Monday, a note appointing National Radio media figures on head of “Radio Jeunes,” “Radio Zeitouna” and some units of the National Radio.
