Samer Chedid Succeeds Mauricio Alarc³n as Nestl© Central, West Africa Chief Executive


Accra: Mr Samer Chedid has been appointed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nestl© Central and West Africa, succeeding Mr Mauricio Alarc³n. Mr Chedid, who previously held the position of CEO at Nestl© Indonesia, steps into his new role as Mr Alarc³n takes on a different position within the Nestl© Group.



According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Chedid is a seasoned business leader with extensive experience within Nestl©, having worked across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. His familiarity with the Central and West Africa region stems from his previous role as Country Manager for Nestl© Ghana. In his new capacity, Mr Chedid will oversee operations in 25 countries across Central and West Africa.



Expressing his enthusiasm for his new position, Mr Chedid stated, “I am delighted to return to a region that has been a part of my career within the Nestl© Group. Together with our resilient team of over 5,000 employees, I will continue to advance our purpose through innovation, high-quality product offerings, and meaningful partnerships.” He emphasized the company’s objectives to enhance livelihoods, promote community development, and uphold a commitment to environmental stewardship.



Mr Chedid’s career with Nestl© began in 1998 as a Sales Development Manager. He was later appointed Head of Channel Category Sales Development for the Nestl© Middle East Region and served as General Business Manager in Bahrain, Qatar, and Dubai. He has also held positions as Country Manager in Ghana and Saudi Arabia, eventually becoming CEO of Nestl© Pakistan. Mr Chedid is noted for his leadership qualities, strategic mindset, and dedication to building strong and effective teams.
