Sami Fehri provisionally released after posting bail

The criminal division specialising in financial corruption cases at the Tunis Court of Appeal decided on a provisional release of Sami Fehri after posting the 4 million dinar-bail.
This decision regards what is known as the Cactus-prod case, which had been brought by the Tunisian television establishment in 2011, accusing Sami el Fehri and Belhassen Trabelsi (son in law of ousted president Zine el Abidine ben Ali) of public funds’ embezzlement, explained to TAP spokesman for the court Habib Torkhani.
