Saudi Arabia respects the decisions taken by President Kais Saied and believes that everything concerning Tunisia’s internal affairs is the country’s sovereignty, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud said Friday.
The Saudi FM, who was received by President Kais Saied at Carthage Palace, stressed his country’s confidence in the Tunisian leadership’s ability to overcome this situation and provide a dignified life to its citizens.
He reaffirmed his country’s support for Tunisia and for everything that is likely to strengthen its peace and security in the face of the challenges it faces.
The Saudi minister also called on the international community to support Tunisia’s efforts in this difficult economic and health situation.
For his part, Kais Saied expressed his deep thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salmane bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for the noble impulse of fraternal solidarity shown towards Tunisia in its fight against the pandemic.
A momentum that the Tunisian people will keep in mind and which reaffirms the solidity of the historical relations binding the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, he noted.
During the meeting, Saied insisted on his determination to fully assume his responsibility in protecting the Tunisian state and fighting against attempts to divide it, according to a statement by the Presidency.
