Saudi Arabia willing to increase investments in Tunisia

Saudi Arabia is willing to increase its investments in Tunisia and to carry out joint projects, Saudi Minister of Commerce Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi said at a virtual meeting with Minister of Trade and Export Development Kalthoum Ben Rejeb held Monday.
Al-Qasabi added that his country remains open to Tunisia’s various proposals to expand cooperation, stressing the need to continue the dialogue through creating joint working teams, the Ministry said on Wednesday.
The two sides discussed ways to develop bilateral relations and increase trade levels.
The Trade Minister called for implementing clear action plans, according to a set timetable.
The two sides also tackled the issue of compliance of products traded between the two countries with international standards and certificates, in order to facilitate their marketing and contribute to their development, besides enhancing cooperation with the Saudi Fund for Development, one of Tunisia’s main partners.
The two ministers agreed to form joint technical teams, working to strengthen cooperation on conformity certificates and the development of exports and commercial investment, the same source said.
