The scientific committee to fight the coronavirus has proposed administering COVID-19 vaccines to people aged between 12 and 15 years, Mahjoub Ouni, a member of the committee said Tuesday.

Ouni told TAP the immunisation of this age group will help limit the spread of coronavirus in schools. The majority of COVID19 cases among school students carry the Delta variant, he noted.

On the epidemic situation in the country, Ouni said indicators related to the spread of the pandemic in the country are decreasing, recalling that the number of people admitted to public and private hospitals has declined remarkably.
