Health teams under the Regional Health Directorate of Kairouan conducted Saturday, a screening operation on several people after the detection of a cluster of COVID-19 in the delegation of Chrarda has identified some infections among contact cases, that do not require hospitalisation.

The Ministry of Health stressed in a statement, that all measures have been taken to prevent the spread of the virus in the region, including the isolation of positive cases and medical monitoring and control.

The Regional Directorate stressed the importance of vaccination against COVID-19 calling on citizens to respect the preventive measures and health protocol in force.

The screening operations are continuing in addition to the vaccination of residents of the region.
