Sefwi-Wiawso: Pastor Elijah Kofi Asante, the Sefwi-Wiawso District Pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) in the Western North Region, has called on Ghanaians to embrace the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving service to foster national unity. According to him, the presence of God is essential for the nation's prosperity, and he commended the government for initiating this event.
According to Ghana News Agency, Pastor Asante emphasized that while prayers are important, they alone cannot bring the necessary development. He highlighted that success requires both divine intervention and human efforts. Pastor Asante shared these views during an interview after launching the district's prayer conference at the Wiawso Central SDA Church.
The conference was launched under the theme 'Heart lift burdens shifted encountering God's power in prayer.' Pastor Asante also urged the country's leadership to implement policies and programs that would enhance the living standards of the populace.
The National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving service is scheduled for July 1, 2025.
