A Moroccan driver, aged 53, was arrested just after his arrival from the port of Algeciras, said National Police (DGSN) in a statement, adding that search operations led to the seizure of the drug which was concealed under the man’s clothes.

The suspect was taken into custody pending investigation conducted by the prefectural service of the judicial police of Tangier under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.

This operation is part of efforts made by security services to fight against international drug trafficking.
