Head of Ennahdha Rached Ghannouchi is appearing Monday before the investigating judge of the Judicial Counter-Terrorism Division in the case of sending young people to hotbeds of tension.

Party supporters and leaders gathered outside the seat of the Judicial Counter -Terrorism Division to show support.

“Rached Ghannouchi demonstrated respect for the judiciary,” party leader Noureddine Bhiri told reporters.

“He is appearing at liberty…Nothing in the prosecution’s case holds up, ” he added. “This is a futile attempt to divert the attention of public opinion from real social issues.”

Over 800 suspects are involved in the case of sending Tunisian young people to conflict zones, the spokesperson for the First Instance Court told TAP previsouly.
