Two people died as a result of the Coronavirus in the last 24 hours in the governorate of Sfax where the pandemic has caused a total of 1,748 deaths, according to an updated report published Friday by the Regional Directorate of Health.

Moreover, 23 additional people in the region have been detected positive, following the publication of the results of 309 tests, that is to say a positivity rate of 5.89%, which brings to 56,883 the number of infected people in the governorate of Sfax since the spread of the epidemic.

According to the same source, 25 patients have recovered from the infection, bringing to 55, 312 the total number of cases of recovery in the region.

Currently, 15 COVID-19 patients are placed in intensive care, 45 admitted to the hospital Hédi Chaker and 7 others hospitalized in private clinics in the region, the same source said.
