Sfax: IRADA programme officially kicked off

The official kick-off of the programme “Regional Initiative for Supporting Sustainable Economic Development (IRADA)” in the governorate of Sfax was given Thursday, during a working session, held at the headquarters of the governorate, in the presence of representatives of several structures in the region.

“IRADA” is meant to promote vocational training, the private sector and development projects in eight governorates, Gabes, Medenine, Gafsa, Kasserine, Sfax, Sidi Bouzid, Bizerte and Jendouba.

The choice of these regions can be explained by the great potential they have for implementing action plans and promoting innovation and investment at regional level, according to the programme coordinators.

Funded by the European Union with an a fund of 34 million euros, this 48-month programme will be completed by the end of 2019.

Grants will be allocated to finance private projects (10 million euros), development of public vocational training (10 million dinars), technical assistance (5.8 million dinars) and management and training. execution (5.5 million dinars).
