Zarzis: Search operations are underway off the coast of Zarzis following the sinking of a boat carrying 15 people, including 14 from Ben Guerdane and one from Zarzis, said Spokesman of the General Directorate of the National Guard Houssem Eddine Jbabli.

According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, the search is being carried out "under the direct oversight of the President of the Republic and the supervision of senior officials of the National Guard," as stated by Jbabli. The operations have so far resulted in the recovery of three bodies on Saturday and eight more on Sunday, bringing the total number of bodies recovered to 11.

The search operations involve the coast guard, navy, civil protection, and customs, as well as two helicopters, and continue for the three people still missing. Bodies are being returned to their families as swiftly as possible, with Jbabli assuring that the search "will not stop until the sweep is complete and all those missing have been located." Families are being kept continuously informed of developments.
