The Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance in Sidi Bouzid has ordered to bring a former regional agricultural delegate, 4 officials in the local committee of agricultural development and a contractor to justice over suspected corruption. The case pertains to a drinking water supply project for rural inhabitants in Mezzouna.
Deputy public prosecutor at the court of first instance in Sidi Bouzid Jabeur Ghanmi said the suspected corruption consists in particular in the use by a public official of his or her capacity to procure for himself or herself or for others an unjustified advantage that is detrimental to the administration and the use of public funds.
