Three heads of department of the local agricultural development authority in Sidi Bouzid were placed in custody on Sunday, October 31, 2021. This is part of an investigation into suspected corruption in the development of Oued Fekka, Bir Lahfey.
In a statement to TAP, deputy prosecutor at the Court of First Instance in Sidi Bouzid Jabeur Gheninmi said a total of seven people have been placed in custody in this case for suspected corruption.
Four people have already been arrested last week: the developer, the head of the department of soil and water preservation and two other managers of that project over fraud and misappropriation of public funds.
