The torrential rains that fell on Saturday in the governorate of Siliana have led to the closure of several roads in the region, power cuts in some localities and the flooding of some houses by rainwater.

According to Regional Director of Civil Protection in Siliana, Mohamed Ali Ben Bihi, the flooding of the wadis caused the water level to rise in many houses, which required intervention through pumping operations, calling on road users to be vigilant, especially on the peripheral roads.

The heavy rainfall also caused the cutting of some roads in the governorate of Siliana, including local road No. 719 between Ain Bousaidia and Bargou, regional road No. 171 between Bargou and Sebikha (Kairouan) at the level of “Oued Mezyen”, local road No. 661 between Errouhia and El Hbebsa, sources of the National Guard told TAP.

In addition, electricity cuts were recorded in the locality of El Fdhoul in the delegation of Kesra and the locality of Bousadia in the delegation of Bargou, according to concordant statements of the inhabitants of these regions.
