SNJT calls for initiating investigation against Borhen Bsaiess

The National Union of Tunisian Journalists (SNJT) called on Saturday the public prosecutor to initiate an urgent investigation against Borhen Bsaiess, a former journalist and leader in the Nidaa Tounes party, for fraud and influence peddling on the background of the pressure he exercised over the Radio Cap FM.

“The threats made by Nidaa Tounes party political advisor Borhen Bsaiess against the director of the radio for broadcasting media content would be a sign of the return of tyranny and seizure on media,” the union warned in a press release.

Though the union categorically rejects any form of seizure on Radio Cap FM, it urges it however to honour its commitments towards its staff, who have been protesting for weeks to claim professional rights.
