In a statement to MAP, Provoste added that the new Spanish position on the Sahara is likely to promote “the development of the population living in this territory”.
According to the Chilean senator, “all gestures and actions that contribute to understanding and peace are good news, especially since this is a situation that has been waiting for a solution for a long time”.
