Tunis: Official Order No. 15, dated January 30, 2026, on the extension of the state of emergency across the entire territory of the Republic from January 31 till December 31, 2026, was published in Issue No. 14 of the Official Gazette of the Tunisian Republic for 2026.
According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, the most recent prior extension was issued on December 29, 2025, declaring a one-month state of emergency. The state of emergency has been continuously renewed across the entire territory of the Republic since November 24, 2015, following a terrorist attack in downtown Tunis against a presidential security bus, resulting in the deaths of 12 presidential guards and injuries to 16 others, including both guards and civilians.
