(TAP) – The subsidy expenditure has approached 5 billion dinars, at the end of September 2022, up 90.6%, compared to the same period of 2021, according to data published by the Ministry of Finance Saturday.
The budget earmarked to the subsidy of hydrocarbons amounted to 2.6 billion dinars, representing 53% of the total subsidy. This sum has almost tripled, compared to the same period of 2021, since it was about 0.9 billion dinars, in September 2021.
Similarly, the subsidy of commodities grew 50%, from 1.2 billion dinars, in September 2021, to 1.8 billion dinars in September 2022.
On the other hand, transport subsidy expenditure remained almost unchanged, at 0.4 billion dinars.
