Tabboubi suggests giving foreign investors possibility to vaccinate their employees

Secretary-General of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) Noureddine Tabboubi proposed that large institutions and laboratories of the private sector, owned by foreign investors, be given the possibility to vaccinate their employees against COVID-19.

He was speaking during a meeting with Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi, at the government palace in Kasbah.

Tabboubi called to join efforts to deal with the pandemic, especially in areas with high rates of infection, namely Tataouine and the rest of the southeastern governorates.

In turn, the PM stressed the importance of these regular meetings with the UGTT S-G to reach agreements and solutions for the benefit of Tunisians, particularly in light of this difficult economic and social situation.

The government is committed to honouring all its commitments, even the ones made by previous governments in the framework of the continuity of the state and its conviction of the need to work together with all social partners.

The meeting stressed the need to expedite the publication of the remaining regulatory decrees concerning the recent agreement between the trade union and the Government in many sectors. It also addressed the means of combining efforts to restore economic dynamics after the pandemic.
