The government is currently called upon to materialise the agreements signed with the trade unions, announced Wednesday Deputy Secretary-General of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) Sami Tahri.
In a statement to TAP, Tahri said that several sectors have recorded tensions due to the non-application of prior agreements. Such a situation, he said, could lead to an increase in protest movements.
“Several sectors will convene their administrative committees in the coming days,” he added.
These committees will provide support for the implementation of the previous agreements to save public institutions, respond to social demands and support private sector agents affected by the interruption of economic activity during the period of lockdown.
