Yasmine Hammamet:Tunis-Afrique-Presse (TAP) news agency is participating in the 'ASBU Exhibition for Technology and Equipment and the Programme Market,' as part of the 26th Arab Radio and Television Festival, taking place over two days in Yasmine Hammamet, Nabeul Governorate. According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, Tourism Minister Sofiene Tekaya, along with Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) Director-General Abdelrahim Suleiman and ASBU President Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Harthi, visited TAP's pavilion at the event. They explored TAP's projects, including those focused on archive digitisation and alternative energy use. TAP CEO Najeh Missaoui noted that this marks TAP's third consecutive year at the exhibition, underscoring its dedication to showcasing its extensive media archive and digital advancements. The agency's pavilion highlights its photographic archive of over 2.5 million images, its digital content production, and its transition into a 'green institution' through the installation of a photovolta ic plant. The exhibition features 85 exhibitors from various continents, spanning 110 booths over 1,500 square metres. It includes technology companies, manufacturers of broadcasting equipment, satellite companies, and television networks, all brought together under coordinated artistic designs. During his visit, Minister Tekaya commended TAP for its role in providing accurate information and promoting Tunisia's tourism and cultural heritage. He emphasized the agency's contributions to highlighting Tunisia's unique attributes and supporting tourism-related events and handicrafts.
