TAP plays host to training workshop on editorial management

A training workshop on the editorial and organisational management of a press agency desk started Monday at the Tunis-Afrique-Presse (TAP) training centre with the participation of heads of the various editorial departments.

The objective of this training course is to enhance the skills of managing information flow and teams of journalists through the modernisation of editorial teams’ organisation techniques.

The five-day training session will be moderated by ANSA Egypt Bureau Chief, Rodolfo Calo.

It was preceded by a diagnostic mission in order to adjust the training to the real needs of the editorial staff and to prepare future in situ coaching activities of heads of editorial departments.

The training is part of the European Union-funded technical assistance project for the Tunisia Media Support Programme (PAMT).

The general objective of the programme is to “strengthen the professional media sector in Tunisia and to ensure the dissemination of independent and plural information guaranteeing freedom of expression,” according to the programme presentation sheet.

The project also aims to support the modernisation and reform of the media sector, the professionalisation of information actors, media regulation and education, enhanced access to community information and development of professional media locally.
