Tataouine: Ras el Wed School endowed with 50 digital tablets

The Ras el Wed school, located in the Beni Mhira delegation in the governorate of Tataouine has been endowed with fifty digital tablets.

This action is part of implementation of the agreement signed in 2014 between the Education Ministry and the Orange Foundation to reduce the digital gap between urban and rural schools. It provides for supplying a hundred schools with digital media, by 2020.

So far, 16 thousand pupils benefited from this project and 800 educators have been trained in the digital field.

According to an evaluation made by the two project partners, the dropout rate in the targeted schools has dropped significantly from 30 to 2%.
