The Local Health Directorate in Tataouine announced 19 more fatalities of the coronavirus during the last 48 hours, in addition to 264 new infections.

This takes the overall number of infections in the region to 9,994, including 374 fatalities.

The new deaths were reported in North Tataouine(6), Remada (4), South Tataouine(3), Ghomrassen (3), Bir Lahmar (2) and Smâr (1).

As for the new infections, they are distributed as follows: 65 cases in North Tataouine, 57 in Dehiba, 52 in Ghomrassen, 47 in South Tataouine, 21 in Smâr, 16 in Remada and 6 cases in Bir Lahmar.

There are currently 45 patients admitted to the local hospital of Tataouine, 4 to the local hospital of Remada and 3 others to the local hospital of Ghomrassen, the same source said.
