Ten-day full lockdown decreed in Ben Guerdane, Médenine

(TAP) – A ten-day full lockdown was decreed in Ben Guerdane and Médenine starting July 12. The decision was made Saturday by the local disaster control committee considering the worsening epidemiological situation in the region.

Zarzis will also be fully locked down for an extra week, said the committee. Access will be barred to the island of Djerba in addition to a ban on travel between delegations.

The committee recommended to set up a mandatory quarantine centre and field hospitals across the governorate.
