Terrorist cell active in Ghardimaou broken up (Interior)

Five members of a terrorist cell active in the city of Ghardimaou (Jendouba governorate) were apprehended on Saturday, an Interior Ministry press release said Sunday.

Aged between 27 and 38 and described as “dangerous,” the five presumed Takfiri elements are involved in terrorism cases and have contact with other “terrorist” members on the run and holed up on the heights.

According to the same source, that cell was planning a terrorist operation in Ghardimaou. The search of the homes of its members resulted in the seizure of several books advocating the Takfiri current and mobile phones.

The public prosecutor ordered them to be brought before Gorjani National Crime Investigation Unit.
