Terrorist support and supply cell dismantled

A terrorist support cell of the Katiba Jound Al Khilafa belonging to the terrorist organisation Daesh was dismantled by the terrorist crimes research unit of the Aouina-based National Guard.

According to a statement issued by the Interior Ministry on Wednesday, the cell was supplying terrorists with food, clothes and raw materials used in the manufacture of explosives.

The Terrorist Crime Research Unit was tasked with the case following the interception by the Kasserine National Guard District Teams of a terrorist group supply operation and the seizure of bags containing large amounts of food and clothes in an abandoned house in Sbiba.

Suspected of being involved in the case, two brothers from the region residing in the capital were arrested. They confessed during the interrogation their adhesion to Daesh and their connection with a member of the Katiba Jound Al Khilafa (Soldiers of the Caliphate). The latter gave them a sum of money and a list of products to buy for the terrorists.

The two brothers bought the requested products and deposited them in the previously agreed place. The National Guard units were able to find the location of the stuff before the arrival of the terrorists, according to the same source.
