Tetekope-Vui Assembly Member Hailed for Promoting Communal Labour

Tetekope: Mr. Wisdom Klu Agbeko, the Assembly Member of the Vui-Tetekope Electoral Area in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region, has been praised for his efforts in promoting communal labour in the community. Residents believed that the efforts of the Assembly Member in promoting communal labour were essential for the progress and development of various communities.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Benjamin Awudza, a resident of Vui, a suburb of Keta, highlighted the benefits of communal labour, which include promoting social cohesion, encouraging active citizenship, and building trust among community members. He expressed satisfaction with the prioritization of a clean environment through communal labour, which has allowed communities to achieve more collectively than individually.

Mr. Awudza noted that the initiatives led by the Assembly Member have resulted in communities organizing communal labour every two weeks, fostering unity and cooperation. This has been crucial for building stronger and more resilient communities. He also acknowledged the growing involvement of the youth in communal labour, believing it would instill patriotism and voluntarism for community development.

Madam Juliana Fafanyo emphasized that community development is a collective responsibility. She urged other stakeholders, including community leaders and religious leaders, to support Mr. Agbeko's vision of promoting communal labour among the youth. She cited successful projects completed through communal labour, such as the construction of a footbridge at Vui Zion Basic School and the repair of community roads.

Mr. Wisdom Klu Agbeko, the Assembly Member, called for unity, togetherness, and tolerance to improve community development. He appealed to local authorities and stakeholders to support communal labour initiatives by providing resources and expertise. He also commended youth groups for their contributions to repairing damaged roads within the community.
