Three people have died of the coronavirus in Monastir during the last 48 hours, while another 120 people have contracted the virus.
This takes the caseload in the region to 38,468, including 35,207 recoveries and 875 fatalities, according to a report published Wednesday by the Local Health Directorate.
Among the new cases, 20 were reported in Monastir, 13 in Bekalta, 11 in Bembla, 10 in Ksar Hellal, 9 in Jemmal, 6 in Teboulba, 5 in Zeramdine, 4 in Sayada-Lamta-Bouhjar, 3 in Ksibet Mediouni and 1 case in Béni Hassen.
There are 78 patients currently being treated in public and private hospitals, while 26 are under intensive care at Fattouma Bourguiba Hospital, where the occupancy rate of COVID-19 beds has decreased to 30.6%.
On the other hand, 225,628 vaccines have been administered in the region, including 88,180 booster doses.
