Three individuals involved in terrorist cases arrested in Mahdia (National Guard)

Three “Salafist” individuals, wanted by judicial and security authorities for their involvement in terrorist cases, were arrested by the National Guard’s research and investigation brigade in Mahdia, spokesman for the National Guard Houssem Eddine Jebabli said on Wednesday.

The latter stated to TAP that the arrest which had taken place during the night of April 19 to 20, is part of an operation to track down the wanted takfirist individuals.

The apprehended persons had been sentenced to prison terms ranging from 5 to 15 years, he indicated, adding that the prosecutor’s office had ordered to take the necessary measures against them.
